Service Description: CLASP -- legal services and representation provided by supervised law students
  • areas of law include immigration and refugee, minor criminal offences, record suspension applications, police complaints, academic appeals, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) appeals, and tenant issues
  • ID clinic and tax dispute clinic
  • public legal education workshops

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • persons whose primary source of income is social assistance
  • low-income residents
  • York university students are exempt from financial eligibility requirements
  • other applicants income must meet financial criteria determined by Legal Aid Ontario

Residency requirement: residents of Toronto or persons who have a case being heard in a Toronto court
