Service Description:
|
Prenatal and Childbirth Education Classes are offered at The Scarborough Health Network. Classes provide information and skills preparation for childbirth and the first few weeks of parenthood.
Education classes include:- stages of labour and what to expect
- coping strategies, including breathing techniques
- when to come to the hospital, including what to bring
- role of the support person
- medical interventions, including induction, pain
- vaginal and cesarean birth
- hospital information and procedures
- tips including resources for before and after
- open discussion
