Service Description:

Prenatal and Childbirth Education Classes are offered at The Scarborough Health Network. Classes provide information and skills preparation for childbirth and the first few weeks of parenthood.

Education classes include:

stages of labour and what to expect
coping strategies, including breathing techniques
when to come to the hospital, including what to bring
role of the support person
medical interventions, including induction, pain
vaginal and cesarean birth
hospital information and procedures
tips including resources for before and after
open discussion
